The Argentine continues to go steady at the top of the pile even though he had an indifferent month of March. After scoring 7 goals in 4 games in February, Aguero seemed to take a breather and is extremely lucky that the rest of the competition has not caught up with him yet.
Aguero started all three games in March but failed to score against both Bournemouth and Watford. But the Argentinean was quick to make a comeback against Fulham in the last game of the month when he scored one and set up another in a 2-0 away win. Last week, Aguero was not in the squad as City defeated Cardiff at home.

The Argentinean is an important piece in Pep Guardiola's jigsaw puzzle as City go on their hunt for a quadruple this season. The reigning champions needed their main man firing on all cylinders if they are to defend their title, and with just 6 games left till the end of the season, both the title race and the war for the Golden Boot could go down to the wire.
As of now, Aguero leads the list and with 19 goals from 27 appearances, is the No. 1 contender for the Premier League Golden Boot at the start of April.
Join us again next month as we assess the final phases of the Golden Boot race. Till then, Goodbye!

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
