Cardiff City v Manchester City - Premier League
Gundogan and Silva both impressed in Wales

Midfielders:

Bernardo Silva

Cardiff City v Manchester City - Premier League

Manchester City romped to a comfortable 5-0 win and Bernardo Silva put in a showing. His namesake David was benched but as they say, every cloud has a 'silva' lining.

The Portuguese recorded a goal, assist, four key passes and three tackles and hugely impressed in the game. Sergio Aguero opened the scoring from Silva's precise pass. Then he scored himself, by virtue of a looping header to double CIty's advantage.

Bernardo had a tough first season in England but he is definitely getting up to speed now.

Wilfred Ndidi

Leicester City v Liverpool FC - Premier League

Flanked by Silva and Gundogan, Ndidi is the perfect player to provide the balance. He is adept at breaking opposition counters and moving the ball, and it was visible against Huddersfield.

The Nigerian made 6 tackles, 3 clearances, 2 blocks, and won 5 aerial duels. Ndidi has consistently impressed since joining the Foxes and aged just 21, he has a really bright future ahead of him.

Ilkay Gundogan

Gundogan curls in a delectable goal

Gundogan is another City midfielder who makes the list, and the German also recorded a goal and an assist.

His goal was a thing of beauty, as he combined with Raheem Sterling and curled a beauty past Neil Etheridge. Then he set up Riyad Mahrez for an easy finish with a pinpoint cross.

His play respected the number on his back, and performances like these will mean that Kevin De Bruyne's absence is not felt that keenly.
