Premier League 2018-19: Predicting the results of all the games from gameweek 8

Manchester City v Liverpool - Premier League

#4 Leicester City (8) vs Everton (11)

Everton v Leicester City - Premier League
Everton v Leicester City - Premier League

Both the teams won their previous outings in the PL against Newcastle and Fulham respectively, and have been playing decently so far without any real knockout performances.

Leicester look like the more consistent team though, plus the Toffees haven't won away from home this season (yet!).

This one doesn't look like bucking the trend, so should be a home win for Leicester!

Prediction: 2-1

#5 Tottenham Hotspur (4) vs Cardiff City (19)

Spurs were given a footballing lesson by Messi and Barcelona in midweek, but that result should have no impact on this game.

Spurs could be slightly tired after their European encounter, but the Bluebirds may not be in a position to take advantage of the same!

Cardiff have had a dismal run in the league so far, and that should continue this week(end) as well!

This one should be an easy home win.

Prediction: 3-0

#6 Watford (6) vs AFC Bournemouth (7)

Both teams have been performing brilliantly this season, and that should make this one a cracker.

If you'd bet on this being an encounter between two teams competing for European places, you would have been passed off as someone needing medical (or psychiatric) help.

The Hornets and the Cherries have thrilled with their attacking style, but also have been shipping in goals on a regular basis.

This one should be a thrilling, and high scoring draw!

Prediction: 3-3

#7 Manchester United (10) vs Newcastle United (18)

UEFA Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool v Chelsea
New clubs, old foes!

This one is really interesting, with a number of underlying themes - "Will this game decide Jose's future?", "Did Mike Ashley instil some confidence into the team and its manager during their dinner date?", "What next for Pogba and Sanchez?"...

Jose and Rafa will renew their famous rivalry, and given Jose's precarious position, Rafa would certainly love to "twist the knife" into his old nemesis (a win would help his own situation at Newcastle anyway!).

This is another must win game for Manchester United, but there don't seem to be enough characters in the dressing room to guarantee that! Newcastle themselves haven't been performing well, having lost 4 of their last 5 PL outings.

This one should have been an easy win for United, but it could well end up in a draw.

Prediction: 1-1
