The Brazilian had been on fire in the initial stages of the new season. He joined Everton from Watford and immediately struck a chord with the fans, scoring a brace in his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers. He followed it up with a goal against Southampton in the very next game, but received a straight red in his third game.

He had to sit out for two game, but when he returned, he found it harder to score, and couldn’t find the back of the net for two games on the trot. However, last weekend’s game against Leicester City saw Richarlison return to scoring ways and it must have been a relief for both player and the fans.

The Brazilian has a healthy return of 0.67 goals per game this season in the Premier League and has already hit 15 shots, 7 of which have been on target. Needless to say, his ability to find the back of the net has endeared him to the Everton fans and has made him one of their most vital players.

Even though he did cost them a fortune, Richarlison is slowly starting to return on the investment made on him by the club and is one of the finest transfers in the Premier League so far this season.
