The English international seems to be getting better and better after each passing season. The right-back has been very impressive for Spurs helping the defensive line keep five clean sheets in 11 appearances while conceding just eight goals.

The defender has averaged 2.4 tackles, 0.8 interceptions and 2.1 clearances per match and has a tackle success percentage of 56 and 72 recoveries.

The offensive side of the fullback has been very impressive so far, scoring a goal and assisting 3 others for his teammates. The defender averages 0.3 shots and 1.7 key passes per match.

Kieran Trippier has made 608 passes so far averaging 55.27 passes per match with a pass success percentage of 76.

The Brazilian seems to be enjoying a resurgence under Maurizio Sarri with the defender helping the Blues in keeping 6 clean sheets in 12 appearances.

The defender has averaged 0.9 interceptions, 0.8 tackles and 4.8 clearances per match and has an impressive tackle success percentage of 89.

In quite opposite to his usual nature, Luiz has been relatively very quiet in the offensive area with very poor stats but as with Sarri ball, the defender's passing stats are quite impressive.

The defender has already made 984 passes with an average of 82 passes per match and has a pass success percentage of 89.5%.


Centre Back - Antonio Rudiger

The German has been phenomenal at the back for Chelsea this season so much so that Gary Cahill is yet to start a match in the league so far.

Like Luiz, the defender has averaged 0.8 tackles, 0.6 interceptions and 3.2 clearances per match with a tackle success percentage of 40%.

Rudiger has been a mainstay in the Chelsea defensive lineup keeping six clean sheets and conceding just eight goals in 12 appearances.

The German has a goal to his name but his overall attacking prowess are rather low while his passing has been phenomenal. The defender has made 986 passes already with an average of 82.17 passes per match with a pass success percentage of an impressive 91.7%


Left Back - Marcos Alonso

The Italian once again has been very impressive carrying one his form from the last season. The Left back has averaged 1.8 tackles, 0.8 interceptions and 3.7 clearances with a tackle success percentage of 50%.

Unlike all the Chelsea defenders on the list, Marcos Alonso has been phenomenal up front averaging 1.8 shots and 1.3 key passes per match. The defender also has a goal and three assists to his name.

The Spaniard has made a total of 793 passes so far averaging 66.08 passes per match at a success percentage of 87.1%.
