No game in the Premier League is easy, but Arsenal’s upcoming fixture schedule looks easier than the one they’ve just embarked on. In the upcoming weeks Arsenal will play;

· Southampton (h)

· Eintracht Frankfurt (h)

· Norwich (a)

· Brighton (h)

· West Ham (a)

· Standard Liege (a)

These are all games that a side of Arsenal’s quality should be retaining maximum points from. None of these teams has any players that would walk into Arsenal’s starting XI, so there’s no excuse for whoever the manager is.

This run of games would allow a new manager to build momentum and get settled into life at the Emirates.

Emery himself has already proven, at the end of last season, that he can’t be successful with a run of easier fixtures. After this run, the Gunners will face Manchester City, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United within the space of 17 days.

It’s now or never for a new appointment, before the second half of December hits like a tonne of bricks.
