#4 Mohamed Salah

Since his breakout season, Salah remains one of Liverpool's most important players.

When Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool at the start of the 2017/18 season, Liverpool fans were confused and bemused. By the end of the season, however, they were neither of those things, and since then he has been arguably the club's most beloved player.

Not only was he Liverpool's best player during the 2017/18 season, he was voted the league's top player as well by the PFA.

Last seaso,n Salah was up to his same tricks, and although he didn't manage to eclipse his 2017/18 season statistically, he did win the Champions League for the first time in his career.

He has started this season fairly well with a goal and an assist to his name, but this is slightly below teammate Sadio Mane, who has three goals and an assist in as many games as Salah.

#3 Sadio Mane

Mane has three goals and an assist to his name in three games this season.

In at number three is Liverpool's Sadio Mane, who came into the limelight by scoring the fastest hat-trick in Premier League history in the 2014/15 season.

Since then he has moved on to bigger and better things, starring as one of the spears in Liverpool's fabled attacking trident.

Although in 2017/18 it was Mohamed Salah who was the star of Liverpool's team, in 2018/19 it was arguably Mane who took this mantle, at least for the attacking part of the team.

Salah may have scored as many goals as Mane in the Premier League last season, this occurred over more game time than Mane, with the Senegalese forward having a better goal to game ratio

Furthermore, Mane has started the season better than Salah, scoring two goals in the UEFA Super Cup final against Chelsea, as well as a goal and an assist in the Premier League.

There isn't really much to split the two, but based on current form it seems fair that Mane pips Salah to third place.
