Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)

Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the most improved players over the last two seasons in the Premier League. Having initially begun his career as a central midfielder, he's been a massive influence on the right side of the defense.

The 20-year old bombs up and down the right flank and has developed a great understanding with Mo Salah. Along with Robertson on the left side of the defense, he provides the width and creativity from the flanks, which can be noticed with the eight assists he has provided for his teammates. He also takes set pieces for Liverpool and has the ability to score for free kicks as well.

Though he's still suspect when strong and pacy wingers run at him, the defensive side of his game has seen an improvement and he would continue to improve with experience. The Liverpool-born lad is already being touted as a future captain material.

Kurt Zouma (Everton)

Kurt Zouma has had an impressive first season at Merseyside. The centre-back on loan from Chelsea has established himself as first choice by displacing club captain Phil Jagielka. He uses his height to good effect and also has the pace to recover and keep the swift forwards in check.

The Frenchman has formed a good partnership with Michael Keane in the centre of Everton's defense. With his height he also poses problems to the opposition during set-pieces and he has scored two goals this season, in wins over Bournemouth and West Ham.

His good showings this season would have caught the eyes of his parent club and Chelsea might choose to retain his services next season with David Luiz underperforming in the second half of the campaign.

Nathan Ake (Bournemouth)

Another centre back who was on Chelsea's books. In fact Chelsea signed Nathan Ake as a 16-year old and he spent time at Stamford Bridge coming through their youth season. However, with playing time hard to come by he moved to Bournemouth on loan for the 2016-17 campaign. Solid performances in the first half of the season saw him recalled by Chelsea. However Bournemouth had seen enough of his talents and spent a club record fee to prize him out of Chelsea.

Ake has made the most clearances in the Premier League this season and has also chipped in with three goals this season. He's established himself as one of the best young centre backs in the league. Chelsea did install a buy back clause when they let him go to the south coast, and they might decide to exercise the option as they are short on defensive options.

Ben Chilwell (Leicester City)

Ben Chilwell has always been a highly rated player, which was why Liverpool were looking at him as a serious option to replace Alberto Moreno on the left side of the defense two years back. This year Chilwell has gone on to show his talents after being assured of a place in the starting eleven.

He has endless amounts of energy to run up and down the left flank and his pace allows him to recover and hold his position when coming face to face with tricky wingers. He also provides width on the left side of the pitch for Leicester and has also supplied five assists this season. His good showings also saw him win his first England cap in September 2018.

Chilwell would be on the radar of the top clubs and the top 6 clubs might look to snap him from Leicester.
