Manchester United - Kalidou Koulibaly
Manchester United seem to have had a rejuvenated time under Ole Gunner Solskjaer as he's letting his main men operate freely without exercising too much control on the players. A lot of work has been done down the left side of the midfield with Shaw, Martial and occasionally Pogba strolling down the flanks. Rashford and Pogba seemed to have worked out a great chemistry and the passing sequences have started to become more crisp for United.
Their backline has certainly improved and the maximum utilization of Victor Lindelof has paid its dividends. Yet the other centre back position seems to be open as Eric Bailly hasn't proved to be reliable and is yet to curb his aggression which has led to lot of set pieces for the opponents in front of goal. Phil Jones certainly seems to be ageing as he isn't as effective as he used to be and even the clever marking he used to do hasn't been seen.
Man United are making rapid advances in signing Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and he'll certainly be their best signing this summer. Valued at 70 million Euros, the center-back has been the receiving most attention among United's transfer targets and if this deal materializes, United's backline woes will certainly be cleared.
The towering center back ranks No.1 in Serie A for balls won along with team-mate Allan and is also a tremendous physical presence and dominates in the air. He's also pretty quick off the ball, something which is not expected from a player of his physique and if he comes to the Premier League, United could pose a serious title threat next season.
