Liverpool seriously need a striker in their team now as Roberto Firmino's performances this season have been far from impressive. Liverpool's attacking trio have been in among the goals but Firmino has few and far attacking returns than what has been expected from him. They have looked for clinical strikers in the game and first went for Immobile from Serie A but the deal didn't materialize. They now have talks on signing RB Leipzig forward, the very impressive Timo Werner.
Werner is a great finisher and is strong with both left and right leg. His wicked pace will add more sting to this very pacy front 3 of Liverpool and his ability to latch on to crosses and scoring chances will make the side more clinical in front of goal. Though he doesn't match Firmino's ability to create chances, Liverpool need an alternate source of goals and a proper striker because Firmino's role is more of that of a centre-forward. With money to spend, Liverpool should sign Werner to bolster their side for the next season.
