Chelsea 2 West Bromwich Albion 2

Chelsea were awarded a late controversial penalty against West Brom to preserve Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten home record in the Premier League. Samuel Eto’o gave Chelsea the lead just before the half-time whistle, but the Baggies fought back superbly through Shane Long and Stephane Sessegnon before Andre Marriner awarded a penalty to the home side.

Steven Reid was penalized for a foul on Ramires in the fourth and final minute of stoppage-time and Eden Hazard put the ball into the back of the West Brom net with ease. Chelsea have now moved up to fourth on the League table, while West Brom are ninth.

Liverpool 4 Fulham 0

Luis Suarez scored a brace last evening to take Liverpool second on the Premier League table, two points behind leaders Arsenal who face Manchester United today.

Brendan Rodgers’s side took a first-half lead thanks to an own goal by Fernando Amorebieta and Martin Skrtel’s thumping header doubled the lead. Fulham have won just once in 33 visits to Anfield and are now two points above the relegation zone.

Southampton 4 Hull City 1

The Saints moved up to third spot on the League table with a 4-1 win over Hull. A brilliant solo goal from Adam Lallana justified Roy Hodgson’s decision of calling him up to the England National Team squad.

Morgan Schneiderlin headed in the first before striker Rickie Lambert scored a penalty and midfielder Lallana added the third. Yannick Sagbo pulled one back for Hull before Steven Davis scored the fourth for the home side. Saints Manager, Mauricio Pochettino was announced as Barclays Manager of the Month, October, earlier this week and his team definitely looks like one to be taken seriously this season.

Norwich 3 West Ham 1

Three second half goals sealed a much-needed win for Norwich City, taking them out of the relegation zone and up to the 15th spot on the League table.

Gary Hooper scored his first league goal for Norwich from the penalty spot after Jussi Jaaskelainen’s foul, before Robert Snodgrass curled in a free-kick. Leroy Fer secured Norwich’s third win of the season with an injury-time goal, slotting in from 18 yards. Ravel Morrison’s close-range goal gave West Ham a half-time lead.

Aston Villa 2 Cardiff City 0

Aston Villa climbed to 10th on the Premier League with two second-half goals from Leandro Bacuna and Libor Kozak.

Paul Lambert’s side last scored in the 3-2 win over Manchester City on 28 September when Andreas Weimann bagged the winner. Cardiff tried getting back into the game, but Villa’s defense stood strong, earning them three important points.

Crystal Palace 0 Everton 0

Managerless Crystal Palace picked up their first point in eight league games but missed multiple chances to score.

Phil Jagielka’s header hit the crossbar and saves from keeper Julian Speroni earned a point for the hosts. Everton dropped more points following their goalless draw against Tottenham last week and are now fifth on the League table with 20 points from 11 games.
