Chelsea v West Bromwich Albion - Premier League
A player-come-transfer director?

Happy Valentine’s Day! Hello and welcome to the transfer roundup for Valentine’s Day! Since the ask of the day is to spread love, here are some of the best rumours of the day that are sure to induce joy…

#5 Dembele’s and Navas’ potential departures

Last night, Mousa Dembele was at his brilliant best against Juventus. The Belgian continued his fine form to help Tottenham draw 2-2 against the Old Lady. There is, however, a chance that the former Fulham man could depart the London outfit even before the second leg commences.

According to The Sun, Beijing Guoan are interested in the maestro and will offer to double his wages to £160,000-a-week, as they seek to complete his transfer before February 28th, when the Chinese transfer window closes.

Don Balon, meanwhile, believe that Florentino Perez doesn’t want to spend too much money on a goalkeeper, which is why he is going to use Keylor Navas in a bid to lower the cash he would have to pay for either one of David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois. Navas, however, isn’t interested in leaving Madrid.

#4 Palace ft. Issa Diop

Fluminense v Bahia - Brazilian Series A 2013
Back to Premier League?

The transfer window might have shut down, but the clubs can still sign free agents, which is why Crystal Palace are eyeing the signature of former Liverpool goalkeeper, Diego Cavalieri, who is now a free agent after cancelling his contract with Fluminense, say Croydon Advertiser.

Meanwhile, Issa Diop is a man in demand. Despite being only 21, he is already the captain of Toulouse and is on the radar of a host of clubs. According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal and Tottenham are among the clubs that are watching him.

#3 The Asensio situation

Leganes v Real Madrid - Spanish Copa del Rey
Could he really move to Premier League?

The Spanish tabloids are filled with so much of this that it is quite difficult to wrap heads around it. According to Diario Gol, Chelsea really want Marco Asensio, which is why the Mallorcan is apparently looking for a house in London.

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, meanwhile, is the one persuading Asensio to move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues intend to use Eden Hazard as a means to bring Marco Asensio to the club. Real Madrid, however, see him as untouchable.

Indeed, it is for this reason that Florentino Perez rejected a bid from Liverpool in January for the talented youngster, says the report.

#2 The Isco situation

Levante v Real Madrid - La Liga
Isco out?

At this point in time, it feels as though both Marco Asensio and Isco might really be moving out of the Bernabeu. After all, a rumour is not a rumour that doesn’t die—and Isco to Manchester City is a rumour that fails to fade away. But, who knows, it could also be a case of repeating the lies for so long that it feels like the truth.

According to Diario Gol, Manchester have saved €100 million for Isco in a bid to bring him to the Etihad. He is, however, also on the agenda of Chelsea, where Alvaro Morata, the report says, is doing all he can to bring in both Isco and Asensio to London.

In another report from the same outlet, it is claimed that Florentino Perez has put Isco in an exchange to bring Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

#1 Manchester madness ft. Ivan Rakitic

Barcelona v Valencia - Copa Del Rey
Rakitic is Barca's midfield maestro

After the failures of Victor Lindelof and the continued disappointment that Phil Jones and Chris Smalling seem to provide, Jose Mourinho is plotting defensive revamp with Leicester City’s Harry Maguire and Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane in his radar, say the Mirror.

Meanwhile, with the arrival of Philippe Coutinho at Barcelona, Ivan Rakitic's role isn’t clear to the Croat himself. As a result, he might be considering a move away from the Camp Nou, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal interested in him, say Diario Gol.
