Ronaldo to Chelsea could happen, Hazard to Manchester City for record deal and more: Premier League transfer news, 28th January, 2018

Valencia v Real Madrid - La Liga
This could be Cristiano's last season at Madrid

Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer news for 28th January, 2018. We have some really spicy rumours today with top clubs featuring alongside the likes of top players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Eden Hazard.

Without any further ado, let’s dive in!

#5 Stoke City

Apparently, The Daily Mail claim that the Potters have made a £14 million bid for the Galatasaray man. The midfielder is an all-action box-to-box man with the capability to become a midfield powerhouse for the team.

Meanwhile, in the same report, they have revealed that the club are in talks with Major League Soccer about the signature of New York City’s winger, Jack Harrison, for whom they are willing to spend around £3.25 million.

#4 West Brom and Liverpool

England vs Brazil - International Friendly
Alisson is a man in demand

Apparently, according to the printed edition of The Sun (page 60, January 28, 2018), West Brom are in advance negotiations to acquire the services of Watford forward Troy Deeney for somewhere around £28 million.

Deeney has been one of the most coveted players in the transfer rumours section and it seems as though he might finally change clubs.

With just a little over 3 days to go in the January transfer window, the Merseyside outfit don’t have much time to invest the money generated from the sale of Philippe Coutinho. The thing is, Liverpool have a lot of money to spend, so they might as well spend it.

And according to Pagine Romaniste, Liverpool tried to spend money on Roma goalkeeper Alisson, but the club rejected their advances. However, the Merseyside outfit are reportedly going to try again in the summer.

#3 North London

Metz v Paris Saint Germain - Ligue 1
Tottenham-bound?

Someday, I guess, Tottenham Hotspur will sign a Brazilian from Ligue 1 and that day might be near after all.

According to Sky Sports, the talks for signing Lucas Moura from Paris-Saint Germain have begun between Tottenham and the French club. The French giants value him at £23 million and the London club are a bit off from reaching the valuation.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund have warned Arsenal to cough up £60 million for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, say TalkSport. If, however, they fail to bid that much, the deal will be off, the report adds.

#2 Some more London

Fulham v Ipswich Town - Sky Bet Championship
More mone for Cairney

West Ham are one busy club in the transfer market, at least that is what the rumour mill suggests. It is only fair, however, as David Moyes must be raring to prove himself again after a series of failed tenures since stepping down from Everton.

West Ham United are currently going through somewhat of an injury crisis. With an injury to Andy Carroll, they seem to be a bit short up front. And according to Daily Mail, they are targeting Shandong Luneng’s Graziano Pelle, who is on £13.5 million-per-year wages in China.

Meanwhile, after rejecting their £15 million bid for Tom Cairney, West Ham have been told by Fulham to cough up £30 million for the midfielder, report The Sun.

Finally, the Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea rumours are back as The Sun claim that the Portuguese could end up at Stamford Bridge should Eden Hazard join the Galacticos.

#1 Manchester madness

Chelsea v Newcastle United - The Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round
Eden Hazard has been a subject of much speculation

Ahh, my favourite part about this transfer rumour mill. Whenever I scour for news while writing this round-up, I always seek for Manchester-bound news—and when I find it, my eyes pop out with joy.

And today, I have something very, very, special for you. Actually, I don’t, The Mirror does. Apparently, according to the report, Manchester City are “ready to make a £150 million bid” for Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

Guardiola has made him a priority summer signing and will look to bring him to the Etihad.

That’s not all, however, as Inter’s aptly named defender, Milan Skriniar is on the radar of top European clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City, say Gazzetta Dello Sport.
