Steve Nicol on Alderweireld
Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol has stated that Liverpool should make an attempt to sign Toby Alderweireld this summer. According to Nicol, the Belgian is certain to leave Spurs in the summer.

As a result, he believes that the Reds should sign him and pair him up with Van Dijk as the former is a player who would be a starter for most teams in the world of football.
“One hundred per cent this guy’s going,” Nicol told ESPN FC of Alderweireld.
“We just don’t know where it is. Again, this is a player who I think most teams in the world would want as their centre-back.
“I wouldn’t mind him at Liverpool alongside Van Dijk, I think that would be a great pairing. So yes, he’s going to leave. Where does he go? I guess it’s up to him.”
