Almiron rejected Arsenal

New Newcastle United signing Miguel Almiron’s agent has claimed that they rejected a move to Arsenal. The Magpies broke their transfer record to sign the Paraguayan for £21 million and his agent Daniel Campos has revealed the clubs that were interested in him.

He claimed that Manchester United were interested in Almiron but never made a move while also adding that Arsenal Southampton made loan offers for him but they rejected it because they weren’t interested in a short-term deal.

“Miguel Almiron is a footballer who went from less to more, now he is a more complete footballer,” he said.

“There was interest shown by Manchester United in Miguel Almiron but they never made an offer.

“Arsenal and Southampton offered loan deals for Miguel Almiron but we did not want it to be a loan.”

Newcastle target wants to stay at Benfica

More on Newcastle as Toon target Andreas Samaris’ agent has claimed that his client wants to stay at Benfica. His agent Yiannis Emmanouilidis said that while his client wants to stay in Portugal, he is yet to sign a new deal with his club.

He also added that the player hasn’t agreed upon a new deal with any other club and intends to respect his contract with the Portuguese giants.

"Everyone knows that Andreas wants to stay at Benfica, but we have never discussed a contract with Benfica or talked about numbers,” he said.

"I repeat what I said: we do not have any proposal from Benfica to renew the contract and it is not true that we have discussed numbers on a contract with Benfica.

"Andreas does not currently have any agreement with another club and will honour all the commitments he has with Benfica until the end of the season."

Jadon Sancho wanted by Madrid

Jadon Sancho has really burst out this season for Borussia Dortmund following his move from Manchester City. The Liverpool target is now being eyed by Real Madrid according to reports from Spain and he could cost around £102 million.

Gareth Bale looking for a house in Manchester

It seems as though Gareth Bale’s days at Real Madrid are numbered. The Welshman looks isolated and has been criticized a lot for his lack of form and his body language with the Galacticos.

And now, reports from Spain believe that the Welshman, valued at £81 million, is looking for a house in Manchester as he eyes a summer move to the Old Trafford, who also are interested in signing him.

Manchester United looking at defender

AC Milan defender Davide Calabria is on the radar of Manchester United according to his agent Gianni Vitali. The defender’s performances have caught the eye of the Red Devils and his agent has now spoken out.

According to Vitali, while there have not been any negotiations, there is an intention to sign him. However, he is happy at Milan, which is why he hasn’t spoken to other clubs.

“Interest from top clubs and Manchester United? No real negotiations, no, but the intentions are there and they have been there,” he said.

“I’ve never sat down with anyone because of the simple fact that he’s very happy where he is, he’s young and he plays at high levels, it seems to me normal that he could be interesting for important teams: Manchester United has never called me, it has never gone beyond a few chats, it’s difficult to find better than Milan.”
