Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Premier League!

Rio Ferdinand wants Sancho and Bale

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Manchester United should try and sign both Gareth Bale and Jadon Sancho in the summer as the Red Devils can afford both.

He also added that Jadon Sancho has huge potential and can’t be compared with Gareth Bale due to the age difference.

“Sancho or Bale? I’d take both! Manchester United can afford both,” he said.

“They’re different players, you can’t compare them. One is at the beginning of his career and one is at the other end of his career.

“Sancho has huge potential, he can be anything he wants to be.”

He then went on to praise Gareth Bale for his ability to score goals in big games while also claiming that he would be happy at Bale if he was a Real Madrid representative because of how his goals helped Real Madrid win titles.

“And Gareth Bale, if you’re talking about having great moments in current football, big goals on big occasions, he’s up there in that sense.

“If I was someone at Real Madrid I’d think about the trophies we’ve won while he’s been there and I’d be delighted.

“If I was someone looking for a player right now and he’s available, I’d take Gareth Bale if the price is right. But it’s down to Gareth isn’t it.”

More on Bale

Tottenham defender Ben Davies was asked about Spurs signing Gareth Bale in the summer. However, the Welshman claimed that he has no idea about any such thing and praised the Wales attacker for his leadership skills in attack.

“I don’t even know if that’s possible,” Davies said. “When we play with him for the international team he’s a leader. He sets an example on the pitch and he’s a joy to play with.”

Nacho Monreal to Barcelona

Barcelona have been linked with quite a few left-backs amid speculations regarding the future of Jordi Alba. And now, if reports from Spain are to be believed, then Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal is the new defender on their radar.

Barca believe that he has the qualities to play for the Catalans and will also be available for an affordable price of €10 million.

The price of Gareth Bale

It seems like this is going to be Gareth Bale's last season at the Santiago Bernabeu as the Welshman doesn’t really look happy at Real Madrid. According to Le10Sport, the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are interested and that he would cost around €175 million, which is a lot considering how poor he has been.

Eriksen still stalls

According to this report from Standard, Christian Eriksen has been offered a lucrative deal at north London. However, the Dane has been stalling putting pen to paper as he seems to have ambitions of playing at a winning club someday.
