#5 Sarri slams Bayern

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has hit out Bayern Munich for their approach towards Callum Hudson-Odoi. The youngster has been linked with a move to the Bavarians, who have also been very vocal about wanting him.

This has not gone down well with the former Napoli boss as he has accused the German giants of not showing Chelsea the respect that a club deserves. The Italian believes that Bayern’s approach hasn’t been professional since the player is still under contract with the Blues.

"I think that it's not professional because they are talking about a player under contract at Chelsea," Sarri said.

"They didn't respect our club, I think. I don't know what to say, I do not know the situation.”

He then went on to praise the young star. Husdon-Odoi has been impressive whenever he has gotten the chance to display his skills on the pitch and Sarri has expressed his happiness at the way he is improving – especially in the defensive side of his game.

However, he also added that some work needs to be done on his off-the-ball movement.

"I am very, very happy with the player because the player is improving.

"He is improving a lot in the defensive phase and now he needs to improve in some movements without the ball.”

Finally, the Italian maestro expressed his desire for Hudson-Odoi to reject the German outfit and have him in his Chelsea team in the long term.

"He is working very well at the moment, so I am happy with the player and I would like to have him in the future."

#4 Arnautovic to give his fullest

Marko Arnautovic has been the center of much speculation of late. And it is only natural because, after all, he is a great player who is not playing for a top European giant.

He had been linked with Manchester United in the summer but now a move to China is being touted by some reports. However, amid all the stories, West Ham captain Mark Noble has revealed that he is confident of the Austrian staying.

Noble revealed that the talented forward has revealed his team-mates that as long as he stays with the Hammers, he is going to give his 100% to the team.

“To be honest he’s made it clear to the boys with the speculation that’s going on but he’s said as long as he’s with us, and I hope that’s for a long time, he’ll give 100 percent,” Noble said.

#3 Liverpool given transfer advice

Klopp asked to not sign players
Klopp asked to not sign players

Former Manchester United midfielder Gordon Strachan is of the opinion that Liverpool shouldn’t look to sign anyone in the winter market despite the fact that they have been suffering from an injury crisis in defence.

With three senior defenders out of action, Strachan doesn’t think that signing players to address short-term injury concerns is fair on the player being bought – especially because Liverpool have a great team already.

“No. I don’t think because there are too many good players there to bring someone else in,” Strachan said.

“It’s unfair on the kids you’re bringing in because he’s known ‘if I get in there, play a couple of games, it might be a time’.”

The only exception for Strachan is if there are long term injuries.

“If they really think it’s long-term injuries, okay, but I think they can go two or three games.”

Tottenham and Arsenal have done better than expected this season, even though the latter are currently struggling for form. As a result, it won’t be surprising to see them make some signings – at least in the summer.

According to Mirror, the Gunners are eying a move for Porto’s Yacine Brahimi, whose contract runs down in the summer of 2019. The report states that the player has no desire to extend his contract, which is why the Gunners are among the Premier League clubs – the others being Manchester United and Everton – to have held talks with him.

Meanwhile, a report from AS claims that Real Madrid have made an inquiry for Spurs striker Harry Kane. The response from Tottenham, however, has been disheartening for the Galacticos.

The Lilywhites have apparently put a €350 million asking price for the England captain, making it very difficult to sign him.

Manchester United have the best stories of the lot today as they have been linked with two Barcelona stars – and both of these stories come from the Spanish press. Although, one could argue that they are way over the top.

According to the folks at Don Balon, the Catalan giants had offered Malcom to both Chelsea and Manchester United as a bid to bring at least one of their two transfer targets.

The idea was to use him as barter to sign Paul Pogba from United or Willian from Chelsea, but the bid was rejected.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo have made a sensation claim that the Red Devils have contacted Philippe Coutinho’s agents but the Brazilian, despite his fall from grace, isn’t looking to move just yet.
