#5 Almiron’s uncle on his move

The uncle of Newcastle’s new signing Miguel Almiron, Diego, has opened up on his nephew’s move to the St. James Park. The Paraguayan had been long-linked with a move to the Magpies but it only happened in this winter market.

And now, his uncle has revealed that Almiron’s whole family were anxious for the move as it was in the hanging for a long time. He also added that the player is ecstatic after joining the Toons as playing in the Premier League was one of Almiron’s dreams.

"The wait for the transfer was very long - we were all very anxious - but we had faith that it was going to happen," uncle Diego said.

"Miguel is very happy to come to Newcastle because he is fulfilling one of his dreams from when he was a boy and playing in one of the best leagues in the world. He is very excited and can't wait to get started.”

Diego further added that every family member is proud of him and acknowledged that Almiron worked really hard to get where he is now. He also praised him for being a good nephew and revealed that they have been closed ever since he was a little boy.

"We are all very proud to see him achieve his goal of playing in Europe. It's all thanks to the sacrifices he made and the hard work he put in and that dedication has always gone hand in hand with his achievements.

"He has been an excellent nephew and we have always had a close relationship ever since he was a boy. He is a wonderful boy and loves his family."

There is a bit about the Lilywhites in the roundup today as the north Londoners have been linked with two players for the summer transfer window. They might not have signed anyone in the last two windows but it almost certain that they won’t make a hattrick of it.

According to reports from Italy, the Lilywhites are keen on bringing Douglas Costa to London from Turin. Apparently, his indifferent form this season might tempt Juventus to sell him if they get a decent price for him.

The report also adds that Spurs could make a swap deal to bring Costa for Christian Eriksen.

Meanwhile, Spurs are also targeting James Maddison from Leicester. The Lilywhites have been linked with him even before he joined the Foxes and now, the Londoners could make a move for him in the summer if they fail to keep the Dane.

#3 Gary Neville thinks Sarri could be sacked

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri came under fire for openly claiming that he is not being able to motivate his players. Gary Neville was among the harshest critics as he believes that there is only one way from there: downwards.

According to the former Manchester United full-back, things aren’t going well at the Stamford Bridge and that his mind won’t change based on the thrashing that the Blues handed to Huddersfield in the last game.

“It's mystifying with Sarri, after his comments about struggling to motivate the players I thought 'this isn't going to go well’,” he said.

“I said a few weeks ago that I thought it was the beginning of the end after what we had seen at Chelsea, the win [over Huddersfield] doesn't change my mind.”

Only time will tell whether Neville was right about this or not.

#2 Hazard wants to go

His dream move to Madrid might finally happen

Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has stated that Chelsea star Eden Hazard wants to leave the Stamford Bridge. Recently, the Belgian claimed that he has made a decision over his future and Balague now believes that he is going to follow his dream of playing for Real Madrid.

According to him, the former Lille star has rejected new offers from the Blues in order to engineer a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. He also added that everyone is awaiting a final decision to be taken as every sign indicates that he is going to Spain to be with the Galacticos.

“Hazard wants to go to Real Madrid,” he was quoted as saying. It is his dream and is waiting for them to decide to sign him.

“Hazard has refused to renew with Chelsea and everyone is waiting for their decision.”

#1 Manchester madness ft. Liverpool

Manchester madness is back to being number one after a very long time. It was literally impossible to not put them here given the number of high-profile players they have been linked to today.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are eying three defenders for a move in the summer. The three names are Joachim Andersen of Sampdoria, Milan Skriniar of Inter and Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli.

That’s not all, however, as reports in Spain claim that Paulo Dybala has a price of €120 million on his head. He is being monitored by both Manchester United and Liverpool but Real Madrid are also in the reckoning for the Argentine sensation.

The report also added that his new price is less than what Juventus wanted before.
