Liverpool v AFC Bournemouth - Premier League
New signings for Liverpool have been immense this season

Manchester City were crowned the Premier League champions for the 17/18 season when their neighbours Manchester United lost at home to West Brom. Despite the one-sided fight for the title, the battle for European places and the relegation dogfight is intensifying as the Premier League season draws to a close.

Here we take a look at five of the most decisive signings this season, who have made a massive impact on the league.

#5 Davinson Sanchez

Leicester City v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League
Sanchez in action for Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs' new recruit from Ajax, Davinson Sanchez has lived up to the hype that surrounded his big money move to the Premier League. Since his arrival in England, the Columbian has marshalled the back line for the Spurs along with Jan Vertonghen.

The 21-year-old centre back is a strong, quick, aggressive defender, with great technical and tactical ability. The Columbian is also a swift passer of the ball and is a complete modern-day centre-half. The defender has quickly settled into life at Spurs and cemented his spot in the starting eleven.

Sanchez has appeared in every league game but six forming a formidable partnership with Jan Vertonghen in the heart of the Spurs defence. The Belgian Vertonghen earned a place in the PFA team of the year and Sanchez is one of the best new recruit defenders of the Premier League season.
