England international and Liverpool midfielder, Adam Lallana, is reportedly wanted by French champions Paris Saint-Germain, who are apparently on the verge of launching a bid of £40m and are willing to offer the Englishman a spectacular £200,000-a-week contract.
Lallana is currently earning £70,000 a week at the Merseyside club. If he does end up moving to France, the 28-year-old’s weekly earnings will triple.
The Ligue 1 champions have had a slow start to their domestic season and are keen to bring in the English midfielder in the January transfer window. Lallana joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2014 for a sum of £26m as former Reds boss, Brendan Rodgers, felt he would be a perfect fit for his system.

But things didn’t really go according to plan as the Englishman failed to live up to his big price tag. But things have drastically changed for the 28-year-old after the arrival of German manager, Jurgen Klopp. The former Saints player is now one of the most prominent figures in Liverpool’s squad.
Lallana has been so impressive for the Reds and England this season that even Paris Saint-Germain’s football director, Patrick Kluivert feels that Adam is the best English player in the Premier League.
“His age is not a problem as the club want the best players and he is one of them.”
Adam Lallana has been in extraordinary form this season performing for both club and country. The 28-year-old has found the net in three consecutive games for his national side and so far has three goals and five assists in the Premier League alone.
But the Reds midfielder has missed the last two Premier League games for the club through an injury he suffered during the international break.
Lallana’s PSG links arrived just days after the England midfielder, and his captain Jordan Henderson, were in the news for visiting a strip club in Bournemouth earlier this month.

In case Lallana decides to join Paris Saint-Germain, the club would be offering him Champions League football along with the huge paycheck. But Klopp and Liverpool will want to keep the in-form player as they look to mount a title challenge this season.
Although £40m for a 28-year-old English player seems like a tasty deal for Liverpool, the fact of the matter is that Adam Lallana has now become an integral part of Klopp’s team, who will certainly be backing themselves to win the one prize that has eluded them for than two decades – the Premier League.
