Paris Saint-Germain will have to spend a massive €168 million next summer to finalize the transfer of Kylian Mbappe. But that, however, isn't stopping the French giants from planning on signing new players.
As per reports in TF1, the Paris based side are set to reignite their interest in Philippe Coutinho. The Liverpool star is their #1 target for next summer and are hopeful of signing him.
In case you didn’t know...
Barcelona have been chasing Coutinho for quite some time now and it's believed that they are still keen on signing him. They put in several bids for him in the summer but Liverpool rejected all of them as they were adamant of not selling him.
Barcelona claim that they made several efforts to sign Coutinho but failed because Liverpool kept increasing the price. The Premier League side, however, have revealed that they did not change their stance and were not interested in any sort of negotiations with the Spanish side.
The heart of the matter
Paris Saint-Germain want to sign a central attacking midfielder and are keen on getting Coutinho. The Brazilian has been on the club's transfer radar for the last year but their approaches were rebuffed by him.
Now with his best friend, Neymar, moving to Paris, the club are hopeful that the former Barcelona star will help them sign the Liverpool midfielder. Neymar was the key figure in convincing the Barcelona board to sign Coutinho but left the Catalan side in the summer.

Barcelona will not let PSG win the race for Coutinho easily and will fight for him till the very end. Liverpool will take full advantage of this situation and try to make a huge profit on the midfielder they signed for just £8.5 million from Inter Milan.
