PSG's midfield combination of Idrissa Gueye and Ander Herrera worked well against Olympique Lyon. Pochettino has three options in defensive midfield namely, Leandro Paredes, Danilo Pereira and Idrissa Gueye.

The Senegalese international has been in impressive form and has scored two goals in four Ligue 1 appearances so far this season. Gueye turned in excellent performances against Brest, Reims and Clermont Foot and is likely to keep his place in midfield for the game against Metz.

Central midfielder - Ander Herrera

Paris Saint-Germain have found an unlikely hero in midfielder Ander Herrera in the early stages of the new season. The former Manchester United man has scored three goals and provided two assists in six Ligue 1 appearances so far this term.

Herrera was also the scorer for PSG in their Champions League opener against Club Brugge. As things stand, Herrera is one of the first names on the teamsheet for Paris Saint-Germain.
