Rumour: PSG set to test Chelsea's resolve with £60 million Eden Hazard bid

PSG to launch a bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard

According to the Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to ratchet up their pursuit of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard with an eye-watering £60 million bid.

The Ligue 1 champions, despite falling foul of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations, are prepared to finance another huge deal for a Chelsea player, just days after they completed a transfer in the region of £50 million for David Luiz.

Following Chelsea’s defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final, Eden Hazard had a very public failing out with Mourinho over the Portuguese manager’s tactics.

PSG believe the pair’s relationship has deteriorated to the point at which Mourinho would entertain an approach for the Belgian forward and Hazard would welcome a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Ezequiel Lavezzi’s name has been mooted in a potential player-plus-cash deal, with the London outfit reportedly in the market for the Argentine winger.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane has emerged as Mourinho’s no. 1 target to replace the departed Luiz, while a deal for Atleico Madrid’s Diego Costa continues apace as the start of the World Cup approaches.
