Angel Di Maria has been the creator-in-chief from midfield for Paris Saint-Germain in recent years. It is hard to find a player who is more accurate with his threaded through balls into the final third than the Argentine.

Di Maria has been at Paris Saint-Germain since joining from Manchester United in the summer of 2015. He signed a one-year contract with the option to extend it by a further year in March and earns £235,000 per week.

The versatile Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos is one of the most technically proficient defenders plying their trade in Europe. The Brazilian joined Paris Saint-Germain from AS Roma in 2013 and has slowly established himself as a crucial member of the team.

Marquinhos can play at the heart of defence or as a full-back or a defensive midfielder. He has great positional sense and showcases a lot of composure with the ball at his feet. His passing is excellent and is still just 27-years-old.

Marquinhos earns £250,000 per week at Paris Saint-Germain and is currently tied to the club till 2024.

Paris Saint-Germain are desperate to renew Kylian Mbappe's contract. His current deal expires next summer and PSG are hoping that Messi's arrival will nudge the 22-year-old towards signing a new deal.

Mbappe has been phenomenal for Paris Saint-Germain ever since joining on an initial loan deal from AS Monaco in 2017. He scored 42 goals and provided 11 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain in the 2020-21 season.

The Frenchman earns £310,000 per week and he is definitely deserving of a bumper contract.

#1 Lionel Messi - £650,000 per week

No surprises here. Paris Saint-Germain have made Lionel Messi their highest paid player. The legendary Argentine was ready to take a 50% wage cut to stay on at Barcelona. However, the club has been managed so poorly that despite Messi being ready to make such a sacrifice, they weren't able to hold on to him.

While the 34-year-old has had to move to a new club for the first time in his career, the lucrative contract he has been handed will certainly soften the impact. Messi, who won the Golden Boot in the 2020-21 La Liga season and the Copa America, will be earning £650,000 per week at Paris Saint-Germain.
