Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has rubbished reports that the French champions will sell Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and insisted that the key duo will stay at the Parisian cub despite intense transfer speculation.

Following Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani’s arrival from Napoli last week, the buzz was that the Sweden international Ibrahimovic would follow former boss Carlo Ancelotti, who took charge of Real Madrid, to the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, Blanc was quick to counter the claims, insisting that the both of them would prove to be the perfect balance for the team.

“He [Ibrahimovic] and Cavani can complement each other well, and they’re both in my plans for this season,” Blanc said.

“I’ve spoken a lot about Ibra and others. He’s an important player.”

When inquired about the ongoing discussion on the Brazilian Silva shifting base to Barcelona for the upcoming season, Blanc maintained: “Both Thiago and Ibrahimovic are important players and they will be at PSG next season.”
