#3 Mohamed Salah (2017-18 season)

The Premier League is witnessing probably the best form Mohamed Salah has been in throughout his career. With already 16 league goals to his name this season, the Egyptian looks in stunning form.

Since arriving from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has been a phenomenal player for Liverpool. In his debut season with the Reds, the left-footed winger went on to score 32 goals in 36 appearances.

With 34 starts in the 2017-18 campaign, Salah averaged 0.99 goals per 90 minutes, which was simply outstanding. Despite his superb form in front of goal, Liverpool finished fourth in the league. The Egyptian also won the Premier League Player of the Season award that season.


#2 Alan Shearer (1993-94, 1994-95 & 1995-96 seasons)

Out of all the players on the list, no player has been able to score 30 goals more than once in a Premier League season other than Alan Shearer. Although his time at Newcastle United was unbelievable, his spell at Blackburn was the foundation of his club career.

With the Riversiders, Shearer was an instant hit as he scored 16 goals in his debut season. The next three seasons saw the Englishman go full throttle in front of goal and become monster of a goal-scorer. He scored 31, 34 and 31 goals in the 1993-94, 1994-95 and the 1995-96 season respectively.

In the process, he won the Premier League title once and won the Player of the Year award in the 1994-95 season. With 260 goals to his name, he remains the league's highest goal-scorer to date.

There is a reason why Cristiano Ronaldo is so highly rated and appreciated. Having arrived from Sporting Lisbon in 2003, the Portuguese went on to become a beast of a player at Manchester United.

His best spell at United came in the 2007-08 season where he scored 31 league goals in 34 appearances. For every 90 minutes that Ronaldo played, he scored 1.02 goals. His form that campaign also saw him win the European Golden Shoe.

It was a stellar spell by the Portuguese superstar as he mesmerized the world with his phenomenal dribbling and amazing goal-scoring abilities. Ronaldo will remember the campaign fondly as Manchester United won the European Treble that season.
