The versatile Portuguese international was impressive in Manchester City's 1-0 win over Leicester City. He provided the assist for Gabriel Jesus' winner against Chelsea. Cancelo also did a decent job in the goalless draw against Southampton. He played the full ninety minutes in all three matches.

Cancelo has played a whopping 70 passes into the final third so far this season and it is the highest among all Premier League players. He is fast becoming one of Manchester City's main creative weapons and is easily one of the best full-backs in the world.

There were doubts as to whether a 36-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo would be able to hit the ground running in the Premier League. But as always, he has silenced his critics and was Manchester United's best player in September.

He started off with a brilliant brace in his first game back at Manchester United. Ronaldo set Old Trafford alight, scoring two excellent goals against Newcastle United.

The first goal typified his predatorial instincts with his movement, positioning and awareness inside the box catching Newcastle United defenders off-guard. His second goal was a sumptuous finish with his left-foot.

Ronaldo also showcased good acceleration to leave the defenders in his trail as he ran onto a Luke Shaw through-ball. Ronaldo then restored parity for Manchester United in the game against West Ham United. The Red Devils won the game in its closing stages thanks to a Jesse Lingard strike.

He had a rather quiet outing in United's 1-0 loss to Aston Villa. But it was a game where a lot of things went wrong for the Red Devils, including a stoppage-time penalty miss from Bruno Fernandes.
