#3 Wayne Rooney - 103
Wayne Rooney is better known as one of the most prolific goalscorers in the history of the Premier League. He is one of only two players to have scored over 200 goals in the competition. But something that is not talked about as often is Rooney's ability to conjure goalscoring opportunities for teammates.
The 35-year-old registered an impressive tally of 103 Premier League assists, despite playing as a striker for most of his career. Incidentally, the five-time Premier League winner is the only player to score 200 goals and provide 100 assists in the competition.
Rooney played most of his career for Manchester United, for whom he scored 183 Premier League goals and notched up almost a century of assists.
#2 Cesc Fabregas - 111
Cesc Fabregas arrived in the Premier League as a precocious 17-year-old in the summer of 2004 and immediately impressed with his prowess on the ball despite his tender years.
A product of Barcelona's famed La Masia academy, Fabregas racked up an impressive 20 assists in the 2007-08 Premier League campaign, where Arsenal finished four points off champions Manchester United.
After a six-season stint with Arsenal, Fabregas moved across London to join Chelsea, where he won two Premier League titles during his five-season stay at the club. It was with the Stamford Bridge outfit, where the Spaniard brought up his 100th Premier League assist.
Fabregas currently plays for Ligue 1 side Monaco.
#1 Ryan Giggs - 162
Ryan Giggs is the most decorated player in Premier League history. The Welshman has won a record 13 titles in the competition - all with Manchester United - and is the only player to score in the first 22 editions of the Premier League.
In fact, it was only in his 23rd and final Premier League campaign in 2013-14 that Giggs failed to score. But the Welshman recorded at least one assist in each of his campaigns in the competition.
One of only three players to notch up a century of goals as well as assists in Premier League history, Giggs (632) is the only player to make over 600 appearances in the competition.
The Welshman hung up his boots after the 2013-14 campaign, a year after the exit of Manchester United's legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
