Real Madrid and Manchester United preparing a sensational swap deal

The Daily Mirror has claimed that Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of long-term target Gareth Bale with Real Madrid ready to sell the Welshman at around £85 million next summer.

But it is now being understood that United's interest in Bale will come at a huge price. The tabloid has written that Real Madrid will demand David De Gea to be included in any business for Gareth Bale, which is surely going to be a game-changing transfer.

David De Gea is currently one of the best in his position and has often flirted with the proposition of going back to Spain. United know that De Gea is fixated on a return to Madrid and believe that he will demand a transfer sooner rather than later.

FC Barcelona want Virgil Van Dijk

Liverpool are set to battle against FC Barcelona in yet another transfer market with the Daily Star reporting that the Catalans have entered the race for Southampton's Virgil Van Dijk.

The Spanish giants recently watched the centre back in action during the international break and see the Dutchman as a perfect ball playing defender for the club. Van Dijk is desperate to leave Southampton with the Saints demanding a record fee of around £60 million.

Belotti to sign yet another contract extension

Andrea Belotti offered a new deal

Despite signing a new deal only last December, Torino have offered hitman Andrea Belotti an improved deal to fend off interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, according to Tuttosport. The striker is currently under contract until 2021, but the new deal will see him get a hefty £2.6 million pay rise per-year and a 4% cut of any transfer fee shall the club sell.

Arsenal eyeing Napoli defender

According to Guerin Sportivo, Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Napoli's Nikola Maksimovic. The 25 year old central defender has made only one start this season and has reportedly fallen out of favour with the current Napoli boss, Maurizio Sarri.

The Gunners and Inter Milan are reportedly interested in the Serbian centre-back and may make a move for him in January.

David Alaba on Real Madrid's radar

Spanish outlet, Sport, has claimed that Real Madrid have made Bayern Munich's left-back, David Alaba, their primary defensive target. Zinedine Zidane is said to be a fan of the athletic fullback and is reportedly keen on working with the 25 year-old.

This rumour seems a bit unrealistic at the moment with Bayern Munich considering Alaba as a crucial part of their future whereas Real Madrid already have a ready-made successor to Marcelo in the form of Theo Hernandez.

Leon Goretzka to be offered a new contract at Schalke 04

Schalke's CEO, Christian Heidel, has revealed that the club will not sell the midfielder in January and will instead offer Goretzka a new and improved deal. The German has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but the club's chief revelations has put any potential January bid to a halt.

Talking to Bild, Heidel said, "For us, always, there were only two options – that Goretzka renews his contract or he stays until 2018. Selling him prematurely was never an option for us.”

Riyad Mahrez in the news again

The Sunday Mirror has claimed that Arsenal and Chelsea are set to go back for the Leicester playmaker in the January transfer window. Riyad Mahrez has been linked with a move to London since last summer, but the Foxes held their stance of not selling pretty strongly.

But Mahrez has now pleaded with the club owners to let him leave in January with the team management now ready to offload him, but only at a high price - reportedly around £40 million.

Liverpool to hand Ben Woodburn a new contract

To award the strides that the teenager has taken in the last one year, Liverpool are set to hand Ben Woodburn a new long-term deal this month. The Welsh starlet turns 18 today and signed his first professional contract during this time last year. He has since made 10 appearances for the first team and is being projected as a future Liverpool star.

Revealing to Telefoot about his Paris attraction, Mourinho said, "Why Paris? Because at the moment, Paris has something special. There is magic, youthfulness and quality. It is fantastic."

Hatem Ben Arfa to end his PSG nightmare in January

After the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, Hatem Ben Arfa has become a forgotten figure in Paris. The former Newcastle star has not even featured once for PSG this season and is desperate to end his stay with the French giants.
