Real Madrid denied training ground by Norwegian club because of kid's football camp

Real Madrid had requested Malvik IL a fifth tier Norwegian club to use their training facilities for their current camp but were surprisingly turned down by the authorities of the club as they were holding a football camp for children.

Zidane and his men are currently in pre-season training, and are taking part in the International Champions Cup. They have already played Paris Saint-Germain and are now preparing for their next match against Sevilla.

The game is set to take place in The game takes place at Rosenborg’s Lerkendal stadium in Trondheim, and Real reportedly contacted Malvik to use their Viksletta stadium in nearby Vikhammer for pre-match training.

The occasion is the Super Cup final and is scheduled to be held in Rosenborg’s Lerkendal stadium in Trondheim. So in order to prepare with convenience, the club had requested the minnow fifth-tier club for use of their Viksletta stadium.

But unfortunately, they will have to make some other arrangements. According to AS and Norwegian radio NRK, the Malvik president Frode Forbord had denied the Spanish giants use of their ground so that the kids could have their training camp.

He spoke to NRK regarding the matter saying, “The training session coincides with our football school for kids in Malvik, “It would be great to have Real Madrid here, but we don’t want to send 270 kids home.”

It’s not everyday you get to see the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale up close and personal but it is a very bold and principled decision taken by the director of the club. Madrid were also given the option of sharing the space with the kids but they weren’t interested.

The President had no choice but to disallow full access to the stadium. “[Real Madrid] wanted a closed doors session so both things are not compatible,” Forbord added, concluding that “I hope the kids learn something at the school and one day play for Real Madrid” said Mr. Forbord

Zidane has still not made a major signing this summer. The Frenchman recently admitted they were still after Paul Pogba but it looks very likely the Juve man is heading to Manchester this summer.

But he is rumoured to have other targets on his wish list and will pursue them if nothing Pogba doesn;t work out. In any case, his transfer will go down as one of the most dragged sagas in recent times.
