Toni Kroos is widely recognised as one of the world's best midfielders
German midfielder Toni Kroos was already considered amongst the best players in the world in his position when he made a €30 million move to the Bernabeu in the summer of 2014, as he’d already lifted the Champions League with Bayern Munich a year prior. Since moving to Real, he has won a further 3 Champions League trophies and has further established himself as one of the best midfielders of his generation.

Kroos was an immediate hit in the Spanish capital, slotting directly into Real’s midfield alongside Luka Modric, and it was his performances in the centre of the pitch that helped Los Blancos put together a 22-game winning run during his first season at the club. 2016-17 saw him help the club to complete a double of the La Liga title and the Champions League, as he appeared in 48 matches, scoring 4 goals and registering 13 assists.
Still capable of controlling any game with his passing range, dynamic energy and driving style, the German international remains one of the world’s most highly-rated players, and to remove him from today’s Real side would be like cutting its heart out. Contracted at the Bernabeu until 2023, it’s very possible that Kroos could end his career with the Spanish giants.
