Hello folks! Welcome to Sportskeeda's latest transfer news and rumours roundup. Despite the season now entering its final quarter, top clubs are keeping their eyes open on potential transfer targets.
And as always, there are stories which make headlines irrespective of the transfer window being open or shut. Despite today's focus being on the all-important Champions League semifinal, we have still managed to find transfer stories that made headlines on May 1, 2018:
Real Madrid's summer plans revealed
Retaining the Champions League or not, Real Madrid are expected to spend big this summer. A barren domestic run has not gone down well with Florentino Perez who is now ready to sanction a €300 million war chest for three European superstars.
The club is also looking to offload the likes of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema this summer in order to raise some funds. Don Balon reports that Real Madrid are looking at three world class players at the moment - Mohamed Salah, Robert Lewandowski and Alisson Becker.
Los Blancos value Lewandowski at €60 million with the striker also looking to leave Bayern Munich. AS Roma's Alisson Becker is valued at close to €80 million whereas Perez believes that a €160 million plus Lucas Vazquez/Keylor Navas deal will be enough for Liverpool to let Salah go.
West Ham United want Karim Benzema
In your most bizarre transfer rumour of the day, Diario Gol has claimed that West Ham United have made an offer for the Real Madrid striker. It is reported that the Hammers have made a €40 million offer for the much-criticized Frenchman which is expected to be enough for the Spanish side.
