Hello and welcome to the Real Madrid transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Galacticos!

Balague on Hazard

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has claimed that Eden Hazard wants to move to Real Madrid. Chelsea have been hit with a transfer ban for the next two windows and it seems unlikely that they would let their star player go.

However, according to Balague, the Belgian is considering a move to Real Madrid. He believes that Hazard would cost somewhere around €100 million but the Galacticos haven’t yet opened talks with Chelsea over the player.

“The situation is clear - he is considering a move to Real Madrid,” he said.

“There is a price for that, which is about €100m. Real Madrid have not yet made the step of talking to Chelsea about it.

“That may change in a month or two but that’s where we are [now].”

It must be noted that Balague said this before Chelsea’s ban was announced.

Neymar is an obsession

According to reports from Spain, Florentino Perez is obsessed about signing Neymar, who has also been linked with a move back to Barcelona. The other members of the Real Madrid board, however, are not keen on the idea of bringing Neymar to the Bernabeu.

The report also adds that Neymar’s father, who is also his agent, wants a whopping €40 million signing-on fees from Madrid if his son is to join them.

Modric to renew

Real Madrid superstar Luka Modric is set to renew his contract with the Galacticos until 2021, according to Marca. The Croat was linked with a move to Inter last summer but it seems as though the Merengues have finally convinced him to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
