Hello and welcome to the Real Madrid transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Galacticos:

#3 Hazard should be sold

Former Premier League forward Stanley Collymore believes that Chelsea should get rid of Eden Hazard because of the negative influence he has been, according to him.

The condition of the Belgian at London hasn’t been ideal as he has openly rebelled against his manager Maurizio Sarri by stating that he doesn’t care what he thinks. He has also openly flirted with Real Madrid, and there is a very good chance that he joins the Bernabeu in the summer.

And according to Collymore, Hazard’s influence in the dressing room has been ‘toxic’ and that the Blues need to sell him.

“Eden Hazard needs to leave Stamford Bridge – to rid Chelsea of its toxic dressing room,” he said.

“Nothing against the Belgian, who I rate one of the best in the world, but it’s time for the club to cash in.”

He also believes that he is a very talented player but that none of his managers at Chelsea ended up having a great relationship with him, implying that the former Lille man might just be the source of the problem at the Stamford Bridge.

"He’s a wonderful talent but I've got a nagging feeling he’s part of the problems at the club.

"Jose Mourinho was lukewarm towards him, Antonio Conte wasn’t overly keen, and now he is part of a crew whose bottle Maurizio Sarri has questioned in the last few weeks."

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard has revealed that he has made a decision on his future but he didn’t give away anything solid as he said: "I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision."

#2 Chelsea can’t keep Hazard

Football pundit Garth Crooks has expressed doubts about whether Chelsea would be able to keep hold of Eden Hazard beyond this season. With the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain, Hazard has gone back to his natural role.

As a result, he had a great last game alongside the Argentine. However, Cooks thinks that Hazard, being 28 years of age, would like to move to Real Madrid and that Chelsea would find it very hard to keep hold of him.

"Now Chelsea have installed a proper centre-forward in Gonzalo Higuain and allowed Eden Hazard to play his natural game the Blues look more like the team we saw at the start of the season," Crooks told BBC Sport.

“The issue for Sarri is, can he keep Hazard, 28, from moving to Real Madrid at the end of the season? Sadly I think not.”

#1 Story of the day

The biggest story of the day belongs to Barcelona and Real Madrid, obviously. In fact, Madrid might just thank Barcelona if this happens. According to reports, Philippe Coutinho has lost his place at the Camp Nou and could consider leaving the club.

Barcelona, too, would like to recoup some of the money paid for him and PSG are one of the clubs interested in him. The price for the Brazilian is around €160 million.

If PSG pay that amount, then they might have to sell their prized asset in the form of Kylian Mbappe. As a result, Real Madrid could make a move for their biggest target for €280 million – a price that doesn’t apparently scare the construction magnate chairman of Real Madrid.
