#3 Hazard to Madrid

Real Madrid’s story with Eden Hazard is getting quite boring now as it is almost the same thing recycled in a different way. This is like one of those sagas which will only die down once Hazard either signs an extension with Chelsea or joins Real Madrid.

And now, football finance expert Kieran Maguire has claimed that the clubs interested in him will have to pay around £120 million to sign. This figure will keep going down by half with each window, he claimed.

“Other clubs are looking to wind down the clock in terms of his contract. He’s got 18 months to go, you would probably have to pay £120m for him now,” he said.

“But if you leave that to next summer it will probably drop to £70m. And the leave that to 12 months, it could be £35m.”

Maguire then added that Hazard is most likely to stay beyond this window at least despite the fact that he and Maurizio Sarri aren’t entirely sharing a good time. Maguire believes that the Belgian loves London and Real Madrid are the only club interested in signing him.

And he finished by claiming that the Galacticos won’t pay such a huge sum for a player whose contract ends in about 18 months’ time.

“I think it’s very likely, although there’s been a bit of a spat between him and the manager,” Maguire added.

“He likes living in London but realistically it’s only Real Madrid in the market for him. But I can’t see them paying the price he commands at present.”

#2 Sadio Mane on Madrid speculation

Liverpool superstar spoke about stories which had linked him to Real Madrid previously. Mane has been excellent for the Red ever since he joined and has attracted the attention of quite a few top clubs.

However, according to the player, all those speculations were just that and added that it is the duty of the player to get used to it ultimately.

“Speculation is part of football. You just learn to live with it and not to take it too seriously,” he said.

He then added that his full focus is solely on Liverpool and that Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah asked him to sign a new deal with the Reds, which he ultimately did.

“All I can say is that my only concern is Liverpool. Mo, Bobby…it seemed like everyone was signing contracts and they were saying: ‘Hey Sadio, when are you going to sign?’. I said to each of them: ‘Don’t worry bro, I will sign’.”

#1 Hakimi and Neymar

Head of Borussia Dortmund’s player licensing Sebastian Kehl has admitted that it would be very difficult for the Ruhr outfit to keep hold of Achraf Hakimi. The Moroccan joined the German outfit on a two-year-long loan deal and has been fabulous ever since.

"Unfortunately, we only loaned him for two years and it's going to be difficult to sign him," Kehl said. "Real Madrid are also following his development."

Meanwhile, Karim Benzema’s form seems to have earned him some suitors as PSG are interested in bringing the player back to his country. According to Don Balon, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is open to selling the forward for €80 million as it could also cheapen the price of one of the Galacticos’ biggest objectives: Neymar.
