Hello and welcome to the Real Madrid latest transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Galacticos tonight!

#3 Terruer on Hazard

Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur believes that Belgium captain Eden Hazard has rejected extension offers from Chelsea. The former Lille star has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for a while now and it seems as though the summer of 2019 might just make that happen.

According to Terruer, the Chelsea number 10 has already rejected two extension offers because he doesn’t want to sign now, indicating that he is waiting for the Blancos, who, he revealed, are also interested in him but haven’t made a move to sign the Belgian.

"He has rejected two contract offers so far and says that he doesn't want to sign right now. That means he is waiting for something and that something means just one thing, Real Madrid," Terreur said.

"Real Madrid are still interested as far as I know, but they are still yet to make their move. They don't have a personal agreement with him at this point, they don't have an agreement with Chelsea and they haven't even made the phone call like they did last summer."

Terruer further revealed that the Galacticos contacted Chelsea for Hazard last summer but they were told that he is not for sale and the Blancos respected the stance of the Londoners. However, with just over a year left in his deal, it would be easier to get Hazard this time.

"When they called last summer, Marina Granovskaia said that he wasn't for sale and Real respected that. But they might come back in again as they need to strengthen their squad after this season and it is easier to get players with just over a year left on a contract."

#2 Competition for Eriksen

Christian Eriksen has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and the common pattern with him and Eden Hazard is that his contract also ends in the summer of 2020 – just like the Belgian’s.

This puts Tottenham in a problematic position as chairman Daniel Levy can’t be as difficult as he usually is because, otherwise, he risks losing the player for free.

As a result, the Galacticos are eying a move for him since they see him as a perfect replacement for Luka Modric. However, they are not the only one who has him on the radar.

A source close to Eriksen said: "It's hard to name just one particular top-level club who are keeping a close eye on him because there are sides from England, Spain, Italy and Germany."

Both Manchester clubs, PSG and Barcelona have been named as potential suitors.

#1 Casilla gone and Modric could

Kiko Casilla has completed his move to Leeds United to play under former Chile boss. The Spaniard had been lost into the oblivion at the Bernabeu after being pushed back to the number three goalkeeper in the club following the arrival of Thibaut Courtois.

Meanwhile, Luka Modric could also follow Casilla out of Madrid. The Croat had been linked with Inter in the last summer transfer window but the move never happened because Florentino Perez didn’t want to sell the Golden Ball winner of the World Cup 2018.

However, after his rather sub-standard performances this season, combined with the ageing factor of the 33-year-old, he could be sold. According to Don Balon, he may have a new suitor in Juventus with Zidane being touted as its next manager. Inter, however, remains his top priority.
