Journalist Ian McGarry has claimed that Mohamed Salah might not be interested in going to Real Madrid just yet. The Merengues have been linked with the Egyptian for a while now but McGarry doesn’t think that the Liverpool star would want to move.

While he did not claim that the player would never play for Madrid, Salah’s frosty relationship with Sergio Ramos after the Champions League final of 2018 might make the former Roma star a bit reluctant to team up with the Real Madrid captain at the Bernabeu.

“I’m not saying he’ll never play for Real Madrid because I am sure he is a player they’d be interested in,” McGarry told the Transfer Window podcast.

“But after the street-like mugging he suffered at the hands of Sergio Ramos in the Champions League final, I think as long as Ramos is at the club, Salah will feel a little bit inhibited with regards to joining them.”
