The Rashford train doesn’t stop here, however, as former Manchester United and Tottenham forward Dimitar Berbatov has stated that the English youngster is a good player, regardless of his inconsistency this season.

“Rashford hasn't necessarily hit top form for Man United so far this season, but he is a good player with a big future ahead of him,” Berbatov said.

Rashford hasn’t been able to play 90 minutes so far this season, which is why it would be fathomable for Berbatov if the young forward decides to leave the club.

He did, however, add that he would be sad if Rashford leaves the Theatre of Dream and that the Old Trafford should do everything possible to keep him – but also warned that Real Madrid are an enticing option.

“If he is not happy with the lack of playing time, I can understand why he might start thinking about his options.

“I would be very sad to see him leave and Manchester United need to do all they can to keep him, but you can see why players head get turned when names like Real Madrid are mentioned.
