Manchester United still dreaming of Ronaldo reunion

Yes, you heard us right, Manchester United are once again hopeful of signing Cristiano Ronaldo, claims Diario Gol who think Florentino Perez is sceptical about Ronaldo’s age and is willing to negotiate a summer deal with his former club.

Ronaldo joined Madrid back in 2008 in an €80m deal and has gone on to break every possible goal-scoring record for the Spanish giants. However, Ronaldo, now 32 has always stayed close to Manchester United and with Jose Mourinho ready to spend over €300million this summer, he wants a reunion with the Portuguese superstar.

Mourinho and Ronaldo worked together during their time at Real Madrid and share a cordial relationship till date. United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is expected to be in talks with Real Madrid throughout this summer with David De Gea, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and now Ronaldo being the main talking points.

Zidane wants at least two galactico signing

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague thinks Real Madrid will make at least two massive signings next season and manager Zinedine Zidane has already drafted a five-man shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window, featuring Antoine Griezmann, Robert Lewandowski and Paolo Dybala.

According to Balague, Zidane is not happy with the squad and in particular wants to strengthen club’s attacking prowess. Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata are expected to quit the club at the end of this season and Zidane wants a big-name replacement.

AS Monaco star Kylian Mbappe seems to be the most likely striker heading to Bernabeu after reports emerged of a €100million deal being agreed between the two clubs. Premier League stars Eden Hazard and David De Gea are also on top of Real Madrid’s wishlist.

Madrid are eying Coutinho as replacement for Modric

Real Madrid are hopeful of beating Barcelona and will make a last-ditch attempt to sign Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho this summer, according to exclusive reports from Sportskeeda. Coutinho has been long linked with a move away from Anfield and Zinedine Zidane sees him as the ideal replacement for Luka Modric.

According to Kickr, Bayern Munich and Carlo Ancelotti have eyed Modric as their number one midfield signing this summer which would force Real Madrid to look for replacements elsewhere. Despite Barcelona’s known interest in the player, The Catalan club is yet to make a concrete offer for the playmaker.

Coutinho is expected to command a transfer fee in excess of £50million, and any bid beyond that which would then force Liverpool to sell their key playmaker.

Morata has fallen out with Zinedine Zidane

According to reports from Calciomercato, Alvaro Morata has fallen out with Zinedine Zidane and wants to quit Real Madrid this summer with Chelsea, Manchester United, and AC Milan all interested in the striker.

Calciomercato claims, Morata’s girlfriend is keen on a return to Italy, however, Antonio Conte is desperate to work with the Spanish striker once again after their stint at Juventus.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho gave Morata his Real Madrid debut and was keen to bring him as the key striker next season, however, with Antoine Griezmann set to agree on a transfer to Old Trafford it seems unlikely Morata will join United.
