Reports: Real Madrid want Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli

Dele Alli is reportedly a target for Real Madrid

Real Madrid are prepared to raid Tottenham Hotspur once again having already bought the likes of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric. The Spanish giants paid a world-record amount to prise away the Welshman away from the Lane but are set to return to negotiate with chairman, Daniel Levy, for another one of their British stars in Dele Alli, reports Don Balon.

Luka Modric moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2012 for €40m and has since cemented his place in the first team as one of the key members. Likewise, Gareth Bale made the move to Madrid a summer later for a world-record fee beating that of what Real Madrid paid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

With midfield signings in Mateo Kovacic, Casemiro and Lucas Vasquez, Real Madrid have failed to assert their dominance in the Liga this season. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric have been the only ones influencing the game but with Dele Alli a potential signing, Real Madrid could have a whole new level of aggresion and passing ability on the pitch.

The young Englishman joined Tottenham Hotspur in February of last season from MK Dons and was immediately loaned back to the Championship club for the remainder of the season. Having grown into the first team this season, Alli has really cemented his place and continues to develop with every game.

With Real Madrid – and Florentino Perez – already confirming how tough a negotiator Daniel Levy is, a move for Dele Alli looks like it would take Real Madrid a lot of time and a lot of money. At 19-years of age and a new long-term contract with him, Alli is going to cost a lot of money for the Los Blancos.

However, a midfield trio of Dele Alli, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos looks like the kind of dynamic and aggresive midfield that could tackle the likes of Barcelona's all-star midfield of Andres Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets.
