Reports: Arsenal superstar's agent desperate to complete move to Real Madrid
What's the story?
The future of Alexis Sanchez has been subject to intense speculation and now latest reports in Daily Star claim that the Chilean is desperate to force a move out of Arsenal in January. The report further goes on to add that the Chilean's agent even made contact with the 12-time Champions League winners.
A move to Manchester City collapsed in the dying hours of the transfer window and with Sanchez out of contract and available for free next July, the Arsenal board might just be tempted to cash in on the wantaway Chilean superstar and sell him to Real Madrid.
In case you didn't know...
Alexis Sanchez has long been courted by Manchester City, but with Arsenal reluctant to let their star man join their direct rivals, Sanchez will have to bide his time till next season if he is to join Pep Guardiola's side.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, are looking to add some quality and depth to their side and with the Chilean's contract running out next season, the versatile forward might be available for as less a fee as £45 million in the January transfer window.
Another interesting factor is that Sanchez represented Barcelona for 3 years and it will definitely ruffle some feathers if he joins Zinedine Zidane's impressive Real Madrid side.
The heart of the matter
Undoubtedly one of the best players in world football at the moment, Alexis Sanchez's drawn-out contract situation has attracted a number of high-profile suitors like PSG, Manchester City, and Real Madrid.
With Gareth Bale struggling to reproduce his old form and Cristiano Ronaldo now on the wrong side of 30, Florentino Perez and Zidane are both keen to add some depth and pace to their forward line and the signing of the 28-year-old Sanchez could prove to be the perfect solution.
Determined, tenacious and above all supremely skilled, Sanchez will definitely add another dimension to Los Blancos' fearsome attack.
When Alexis Sanchez is in form, he is simply unstoppable!
Still only 28 and at the peak of his career, Sanchez's time at Arsenal is coming to an end. With Manchester City circling, it might be in the best interests of Arsenal to cash in on their wantaway superstar and sell him to Real Madrid.
Having already experienced La Liga football, Sanchez is sure to be a perfect fit for Zidane's system at Real Madrid.
