Reports: Chelsea and Barcelona reach €180 Million agreement for Barcelona superstar

Neymar
Will Neymar move to Chelsea?

What’s the story?

Chelsea have already decided to strengthen their squad before the start of next season and Roman Abramovic has decided he wants to keep Antonio Conte for a long time to come after his successes this season with the Blues.

According to TuttoSport, Chelsea have agreed an 180 million Euro deal with Barcelona to sign Neymar at the end of this season. The Brazilian has become one of the best players in the world and would improve any side massively.

He has expressed how much fun it would be to play in the Premier League and it looks like if the reports are to believed then Chelsea have won the race for his signature. The famous MSN trio might now be disbanded if the move comes to fruition.

In case you didn’t know...

There was uncertainty over Neymar’s future last season as well when Manchester United tried their very best to sign the Brazilian. But they were eventually unsuccessful in their attempt to sign him and he still wears the Blaugrana jersey today.

The heart of the matter

Neymar recently had an interview where he mentioned he finds the Premier League very interesting. He has signed a new contract recently with Barcelona but that will not guarantee he stays at the Camp Nou next season.

Lionel Messi is yet to sign a new contract and Neymar is positive he will sign a new deal as well but Chelsea are the kind of club who can attract the best players in the world because of the pay they are ready to offer.

Eden Hazard has been a long time target for Real Madrid and the Blues are trying to use this and the fact that the Brazilian has expressed interest over a move to the Premier League to their advantage

What’s next?

With a transfer fee already agreed between the two clubs, it’s now up to the player to decide it he wants to leave the Catalans. Barcelona are also well aware that Messi still has 3-4 good years left in him and Neymar will have to continue to play second fiddle if he sticks around for that long when the Brazilian’s aim is to become No. 1 at the club.

Author’s take

While there are reports of Neymar’s move being agreed it is very unlikely he will move away from the club this summer. He eventually wants to be the man who replaces Lionel Messi as Barcelona’s talisman and is ready to wait for his chance.
