According to one report, AC Milan are looking to Stamford Bridge within the next seven days to bolster their squad for the current season and one of those targets is Marco Van Ginkel.It's important to remember that before the transfer deadline next week, Chelsea still need to offload a foreign player before it closes, being a loan deal or permanent signing. In saying that, many people believed that three other players were under the microscope (Cech, Mikel and Torres) but it looks as though the focus has turned to the young Dutch midfielder.As we all know Van Ginkel came into the club last season and made a promising start before suffering a season ending injury during the Capital One Cup at Swindon. Now, he is back and has trained through pre season but has been overlooked so far for both match day squads at Burnley and Leicester.Just last week, Van Ginkel's agent refused to rule out a move away from Chelsea before the transfer window closed and was to seek assurances from the club of their intentions for the Dutchman. It looks now as though the next seven days are to be critical in Van Ginkel's career.So to the report that AC Milan are targeting Van Ginkel as a loan signing for the season. It makes sense to me as we have more than enough cover in those two deeper positions in our current midfield. We have seen Fabregas and Matic start both games with Mikel and Ramires as two other options.At his age and after featuring on a regular basis in his homeland before he came to Chelsea, it's important that Van Ginkel plays and gets as much playing time as possible due the fact that he as injured last season. Let's also not forget, he just missed out on being a part of Van Gaal's Dutch side that travelled to Brazil, so a full season playing first team football this term would do him the world of good.Unfortunately, it does not look like that will be with Chelsea looking from the outside in.
