John Terry could leave the Bridge at the end of the season

Chelsea’s legendary captain John Terry looks all set to part ways with the club at the end of the season. But he may not be getting the exit he deserved as he got a red card in the defeat to Sunderland, which rules him out of the final two fixtures against Liverpool away and Leicester City at home.

Terry, who is regarded as one of Premier League’s finest ever central defenders has not been given a contract yet, due to which he has had to look for pastures new. The English defender has told his friends that he may consider heading to China.

Although he has probably played his last game in a Chelsea shirt, he plans to play on the Stamford Bridge turf once before he heads to his new club.

Based on reports, Terry has hired the stadium for one final match in which he will play with his closest of friends, one day after the final home game against newly crowned Champions Leicester City.

Terry might be suspended, but his teammates are planning to send him off in some style by throwing a party in the Stamford Bridge nightclub. Hiring the stadium for the match costs £22,000, but as a favour for his service to the club, Chelsea have agreed to give him the stadium for free.

It is not known if John Terry will stay at Stamford Bridge after this season although an announcement looks imminent. Inspite of not playing in the final game, the defender will be involved in the post-match lap of appreciation with his family and teammates.

Terry has been one of the most crucial parts of Chelsea’s success and has been repeatedly called as Mr. Dependable and remains a fan favourite at the Bridge.

The ex-England captain has had a glorious trophy-laden career, by winning four Premier League titles, five FA Cups and the UEFA Champions League to name a few of his major trophies. On a personal note, he has been a part of FIFA FIFPro World XI on five occasions.

There have been concrete offers for the Englishman from China, where many of the world’s top players are now plying their trade. He was seen in China last year when he went there for a promotion tour.

Only time will tell if the Chelsea captain will be a part of the squad next season as new boss Antonio Conte takes over, who might have a tough time replacing such an iconic figure, but for the Chelsea fans, He will always be Captain. Leader. Legend.
