Reports: Manchester United's frozen out stars 'threatening' squad and Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho is reportedly being teased with a mutiny within his squad at Manchester

According to several British reports this morning, it seems a host of frozen out Manchester United stars are 'threatening to destroy the harmony'of the squad. Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and a host of other stars haven't featured prominently this season and are said to be the ones instigating this mini-mutiny.

This comes after Manchester United's recent 1-0 loss at the hands of Feyenoord in the UEFA Europa League. What makes the situation even worse is that Pep Guardiola – his opposite number across Manchester – seems to have hit the ground running in the Premier League.

The reports further go on to suggest that the unrest in the squad is showing in Manchester United's Carrington training complex with Jose Mourinho having a tough time to satisfy every one of his players given the club have a seemingly large first-team squad this season.

A lot of the players kept in the dark were expecting to fly with the squad to Rotterdam to take on Feyenoord but the manager insisted otherwise and that hasn't gone down too well. An insider told the same report: “There are players not happy about the lack of game time and even players who are starting games feel they are playing out of position and not doing themselves justice.”

Jose Mourinho is admittedly under a lot of pressure in the Premier League this season having been sacked by Chelsea last season midway through the season unable to recover from a slump of bad form. When the Portuguese manager left the London club, they were 16th in the table and completely dumbfounded.

This isn't the first time that Jose Mourinho has fallen out with a club's star, too. Mario Balotelli and he didn't get along too well at Inter Milan while he also famously fell out with Real Madrid's captain and legend, Iker Casillas.
