Reports: Neymar reveals the condition on which he will stay with PSG and reject Real Madrid

Paris Saint-Germain v Celtic FC - UEFA Champions League
Will PSG dance to Neymar's tunes?

What's the story?

The Times have revealed the condition that Neymar has put forward to commit his future with Paris Saint Germain. He has strongly been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer, but the Brazilian has now reportedly told the PSG top brass that he wants his salary to be tripled - a pay package of £1 million per week.

Neymar's future has been up in the air in recent months, with Real Madrid openly courting the former Barcelona man to come on board.

During the Ballon d'Or ceremony, Madrid's Florentino Perez had frankly admitted, "Being in Madrid would make it easier to win the Ballon d’Or (for Neymar). Real Madrid is a club which gives all you need as a big player. Everybody knows that I already wanted to sign him at one point."

In case you didn't know:

Neymar is currently in Brazil recuperating from his fractured metatarsal. Recently, it came to the fore that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Antero Henrique flew out to Brazil to discuss the forward's future.

The heart of the matter:

Neymar joined the Parisians last summer for a world record transfer fee of about £200 million, and currently has a salary of £264.5 million spread over five years. But his new demand of wanting to earn a million dollars per week is surely going to give sleepless nights to the club's Qatari owners.

It is reported that Neymar's father/agent recently met with the club representatives to convey his condition to commit his future in Paris.

Rumour probability: 8/10

Neymar knows about Real Madrid's interest in him, and holds all the cards to make PSG dance to his tune. The equation is simple for the French club - pay Neymar what he wants and see him in the Paris shirt for the foreseeable future; don't pay Neymar and they risk letting go of their star forward.

Author's take:

Paris Saint Germain are certainly in a spot of bother concerning the future of their prized asset. With Neymar's current condition, PSG may well have to either allow him to leave for Real Madrid or accept his demands and ultimately face the wrath of FFP regulations.
