Can Real Madrid lure Hazard from Chelsea?

Real Madrid are increasingly confident of completing a stunning swap deal for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard this summer. According to reports from Mirror, Los Blancos are eager to submit a £75million bid (£40m + Alvaro Morata) in order to force Chelsea’s hands in to selling their most prized asset.

Mirror understands that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is a big fan of the Belgian ace and after seeing his performances at Euro 2016, French manager is keen to bring Hazard to Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Hazard, 25 has been touted to be the most likely replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo and Zidane is pushing for a deal to bring the Belgian ace to La Liga in coming weeks.

Madrid giants are even willing to include James Rodriguez as part of the deal to convince Chelsea to sell Hazard this summer. Blues have shown interest in the Colombian international and Real Madrid will offer the £50m rated James to ensure Hazard arrives at Bernabeu.

Either way, Chelsea are guaranteed to get a quality player and considerable amount to sum to continue their summer transfer plans as Antonio Conte waits to take charge of the club in coming weeks.

Seeing this proposed deal from Chelsea’s point of view does make a lot of sense as Antonio Conte is known to field a 3-5-2 system wherein he requires two strikers up top and hard working wing backs. Unfortunately for Hazard, he is neither one of those.

His best work comes from the wings where he is given space and room to work with and not worry about tracking back. There have been suggestions of Hazard being the second striker or be shifted to midfield but it will only hamper his impact on the games.

Instead by selling Hazard, Chelsea will get their preferred striker Alvaro Morata and £40million to build their squad this summer. Blues recently signed Michy Batshuayi from Marseille and are actively seeking another striker.

The Belgian International completed his medical at his team’s Euro 2016 camp in France last night and could be unveiled as a Chelsea player following Belgium’s round of 16 clash against Wales later tonight.

With Diego Costa’s uncertain future at the club, Antonio Conte might want to take this gamble and approve Hazard’s sale to Real Madrid in a stunning £75million swap deal with Alvaro Morata.
