Reports: Real Madrid offer Chelsea £70m for Eden Hazard
According to various reports, Real Madrid have made contact with Chelsea and have submitted a bid of around £70m for Eden Hazard. There is nothing substantial and it's purely speculation - at least I hope it is.
I guess for all football supporters when you hear that one of the two Spanish giants have come in for one of your players you immediately fear the worst. It's almost like an unwritten rule that when this happens, a player simply cannot refuse the lure of playing for Barcelona or Real Madrid.
With Hazard however, I have a real feeling that it's different and that <he IS focused on his immediate future at Chelsea. We are all led to believe that he will <sign a new extended contract to keep him here for at least five more years.
There is however one person that worries me in all this and that's Zinedine Zidane. Hazard has often spoken of the fact that he was an idol of his as he was growing up and now Zidane plays a key role at Real Madrid and has <openly admitted that he would sign Hazard now if he had the chance.
Jose Mourinho has stated that Hazard loves it here at Chelsea and in the Premier League and I honestly believe that he will become a winner of the Ballon D'or at Chelsea.
Let's hope that Chelsea get Hazard signed and all this talk of massive bids and the lure of La Liga is put to bed once and for all!
