What’s the rumour?

Real Madrid might be in great form right now but they are planning for the future and one of the players that they seem to have targeted is Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

In case you didn’t know…

The young Englishman has a contract with the Red Devils that expires in the summer of 2020. According to Transfermarkt, his value is currently at €65 million and it could go even higher if he continues performing like the way he has been under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The heart of the matter

According to a report from Le10Sport, Real Madrid know of his contractual situation and have, hence, eyed him to strengthen their attack. They then cited a report from the Metro, which claimed that the Red Devils are confident that their talented youngster will sign a long-term deal.

The report from the English outlet also revealed that United have offered the Englishman a deal worth £150,000-per-week but are aware that they might need to offer him somewhere close to what they offered Anthony Martial, which is around £190,000-per-week.

Rumour probability/rating: 6.5/10

While there is no doubt that Manchester United would want to sign him in a long-term deal and that the youngster would be keen on signing it now that Jose Mourinho is no longer at the Theatre of Dreams, it seems quite far-fetch that Real Madrid would be interested in Rashford when they already have Vinicius coupled with the arrival of Rodrygo Goes in the summer.

What’s next?

Marcus Rashford is actually enjoying a very good time right now. He seems to have found the best version of himself under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has preferred him as the center-forward over Romelu Lukaku.
