Arsenal have reportedly inquired about signing Chelsea target Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United. The Gunners are interested in bringing a left winger and see the £70 million-rated star as a perfect fit.

As per journalist Gaston Edul, Garnacho is the latest player added to Arsenal's summer wishlist. Mikel Arteta has set his sights on the Manchester United winger, who has been put up for sale.

Speaking on a podcast, Edul said (via SPORTBible):

"The player will leave Manchester United and prefers to stay in the English Premier League. Two Premier League teams have expressed interest in him. Chelsea has shown the greatest interest, followed by Arsenal."

TyC Sports (via SportBible) have also reported that Napoli and Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Garnacho. However, the Argentine wants to stay in the Premier League as his family is happy in England.

Manchester United are ready to sell the youngster this summer after a fall-out with Ruben Amorim. He was dropped for the Manchester derby earlier in the season, but managed to win back his place in the matchday squad.

However, the comments made by Garnacho after the Europa League final led Amorim to decide to keep him away from the first team.

Chelsea urged not to sign Arsenal target by ex-Manchester United star

Paul Parker, during a discussion with Wettbasis earlier this month, urged Chelsea to star away from Alejandro Garnacho. He believes that the Arsenal target is not hardworking and is nothing like his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo. He said:

"Garnacho has to go. There is no way around it, because it's never going to work out at Manchester United. He doesn't have the mentality and he doesn't like to work hard. I don't think it is ever going to change. It's unbelievable because his big idol Cristiano Ronaldo was the complete opposite. He worked his a** off, so if Ronaldo really is his idol, I think he should look a bit more at him and do what he does.
"I don't think Chelsea was ever interested in him, to be completely honest, and I also think it would be a bad decision for both him and Chelsea if he went there. He needs a bit of fresh air, he needs a change in terms of environment, and I think he could benefit from moving to another country."

Manchester United are looking to sell Garnacho, along with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford this summer. They are also looking to offload Antony, who had a successful loan at Real Betis.
